40MKW biomass plant to
be built in La Carlota

The construction of the multimillion 40 mega-watt Global Business Power Corp. biomass plant in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, will start next year after the bidding for a contractor, First Vice President Petronilo Madrid of the GBP Panay Site Operations said yesterday.

Madrid said GBP biomass plant is in the process of pre-engineering, and the front and engineering design have already been completed.

The leading power producer in Visayas and Mindoro is planning to bid out the contract that will be open to Negros-based firms.

Guimbalaon purok
gets electricity

Central Negros Electric Cooperative successfully provided electricity to 20 beneficiaries at Purok Litik, Brgy. Guimbalaon, Silay City through its Sitio Electrification Program, recently.

The energization activity was spearheaded by CENECO BOD Vice-President Dwight Carbon, General Manager Sulpicio Lagarde Jr., Silay Field Office Area Manager Lilibeth Gadian, and Area Engineer Francis Aurelio.

Silay City Mayor Mark Andrew Arthur Golez, Vice Mayor Judith Gallego, Former CENECO District 9 Silay City Director Michael Maravilla and Barangay Guimbalaon Captain Claro Denosta attended the activity.*
