Village Idiotís post disappears

The Village Idiot web page that implicated  Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. and several other  past and  present Negros Occidental officials in the drug trade could no longer be found yesterday.

Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. on Friday said the   Philippine National Police and other law enforcement agencies involved in  anti-cyber crime monitoring were looking into the activities of the blogger and the political personalities behind the post that he called clearly derogatory and full of lies.

The National Bureau of Investigation has the capability to trace who is behind the Village Idiot blog and track down whoever is responsible for the black propaganda, NBI Bacolod spokesperson Enrico Cabero.

“People responsible for the blog should not think they can get  away with it, he said.

Appropriate charges can be filed against those responsible for libelous posts on the Internet, which is a cyber crime, he added.*CPG
