PCGA turnover rites
The 607th Squadron of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary had their 3 rd ceremonial turnover of leadership and management at the Bacolod Pavillon Hotel recently, with Western Visayas district commander, Commodore Leopoldo Laroya, as presiding officer and keynote speaker.
Outgoing squadron director, Capt. Eduardo Villanueva, handed over the responsibility to Captain James Chua. The new staff of the 607th Squadron include Capt. Benjamin Ortega as adviser, Cdr. Renato Yulo - deputy director for Operation, Cdr. Maricar Quiro – deputy director for Administration, Cdr. Antonio Genovea – chief of staff, Lcdr Fernando Feria – administration and personnel, Cdr. Ernesto Coo - in charge for training and protocol;
Cdr. Alfredo Villanueva - squadron's finance, Cdr. Manuel Ong - intelligence, Cdr. Cristina Tupas – plans and programs, Cdr. Edgar Sy for logistics, Cdr. Danny Yap - Operations, Cdr. Rolando Lee as MARSAF, Cdr. Salvador Tinio- MARSAR, Lcdr. Lorenzo Kilayco - Comrel, Lcdr. Roberto Salvador - Marep, Cdr. Ernesto Coo - 607.1 division director, Lcdr. Fernando Feria - 607.2 division director, Lcdr. Lorenzo Kilayco - 607.3 division director, and Cdr. Chito Jalandoni as 607.4 division director with Lcdr. Radjie Caram, Cdr. Kenneth Tirthdas, Lcdr. Alcar Go, Lcdr. Joel Tamaid, Lcdr. Napoleon Conmigo, Lcdr. Steve Gochuico, Lcdr. Agustin Camansag, Lt. Kenneth Saad, Lt. Johnny Yap, Lcdr. Hermilo Bacabaldo, Lt. Martkin Jereza, Ltjg. The 607th Squadron is composed of business leaders in Bacolod City, who serve as voluntary allies of the Philippine Coast Guard. During its key speakership in the turnover celebration, Laroya highlighted the priceless commitment of the members and officers of the Squadron and he gave credence to the successful programs and activities of the auxiliary district of PCGA in Bacolod.*
