NONECO asks
DOE investigate NGCP

The Northern Negros Electric Cooperative has sought the help of the Department of Energy to act on what it described as “deafening clamors” of its electric consumers in northern Negros against the failure of the National Grid Power Corporation to provide immediate solution to continued power fluctuations in northern Negros, caused by solar power generation interconnections to its 69KV power lines.

The NONECO area of coverage has the largest solar power generation facilities with most of them connecting through its 69KV lines, its manager, Danny Pondevilla, said.

In his letter to DOE Secretary Alfonso Cusi, Pondevilla said NONECO was flooded by public clamor and outrageous complaints from member-consumers that they immediately took into consideration, only to find out that the cause of emerging fluctuations is the solar power generations interconnected to the cooperative's 69KV lines.
