16 DepEd
supervisors join confab

Sixteen education program supervisors in-charge of the English curriculum in the Department of Education Negros Island Region from 16 schools division offices joined the two-day English conference held at the Perpetual Help Community Cooperative Inc. hostel in Dumaguete City recently, a press release from DepEd said.

The conference was in preparation for the implementation of the English curriculum under the K to 12 program.

Nonale Resoor, chief of the Curriculum and Learning Management Division, welcomed the participants and expressed his confidence on the success of the conference as well as its implementation in the field.

DepEd NIR director Gilbert Sadsad challenged the participants to do the right things with compassion and understanding as he renewed his support to the Philippine Education System.

Each supervisor gave a 15-minute presentation on his/her division's accomplishments before the group held a planning and presentation of programs, projects and activities for school year 2016-2017.

Josanlo Caldera, regional English coordinator, praised the hard work, determination, and commitment of the supervisors in the planning and implementation of the identified programs in the curriculum.

With Sadsad and Caldera are the other regional coordinators and staff of the CLMD and Rose Marie Vailoces, chief of the Human Resource and Development Division, the press release added.*
