Racer cruises to another win
vs. HD40 Petron Cup caging

Sprint 4t Racer kicked off its 2nd round campaign on a bright note with a 91-77 victory over REV-X HD40 in the 35 and Up Category of the Fil-Sino Petron Cup at Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym in Bacolod City.

Racer steadily outscored HD40 in all quarters to register its third win after five games while dropping their victims to 1-4.

Glin Ortaliz paced Racer with 25 points while Mark Yee added 22, Leo Bat-Og contributed 14, Rey Pandoro made 9, Deonyson Dy and Arian Chua scored 6 points each and Joseph Tiu with 5 points.

Ralph Richard Tan led HD40 with 18 points while Richard Co finished with 16 points.

In the nightcap Ultron Touring defeated Ultron Rallye, 79-74, in the 35 and below category.

Touring and Rallye are now tied in second place with a 3-2 slate.

Touring had a slim 36-35 lead at halftime as Brian Coo and Joshua Co scored 9 points apiece and teammates Dante Ma and Jeremy Coo added 8 markerks each while Carlo Chu and Devin Dreyfus scored 12 and 10 points, respectively for Rallye.

Ma shot 7 points and Simon Tan added 5 to keep the lead for Touring at the end of the third quarter, 57-54.

Robbie Jalandoon fired 3 triples to finish with 11 points in the quarter and Chu added 7 for Rallye but it was not enough as the balanced production of Touring prevailed in a tight battle with Alvin Dionela scoring 9 points to lead Touring to victory.

Ma delivered 18 points , Joshua Co and Brian Coo added 15 each, Dionela tallied 11 points and Jeremy Coo 10 points.

Chu scored 23 points and Jalandoon made 22, but lack of offense sealed their fate with only Dreyfus helping in the scoring end with 14 pts.*
