City's No.1 on drug
list sends feelers

The alleged shabu supplier, who is number 1 in the drugs watchlist of Bacolod City and escaped a police raid on his house in Purok Sibucao, Barangay Banago in Bacolod City, had not surfaced last night, despite his surrender feelers.

Chief Insp. Jerick Filosofo, head of the Bacolod City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group, the lead unit of the operation, said yesterday that Ramy Poja had sent surrender feelers to the police hours after they raided his house, Monday, and he had escaped.

A plastic container with a cap containing suspected shabu, four big heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and two hand grenades were seized from Poja's house, police records show.

Aside from the search warrant that the police implemented on Monday, Poja has a pending warrant of arrest for selling drugs and for illegal possession of drugs and explosives, Filosofo said.

The police are readying charges for illegal possession of drugs and explosives against Poja today, before the Bacolod City Prosecutor's Office, Filosofo also said.*SGG
