Six small and medium enterprises in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental will open their exhibit booths for the annual Sandugo Trade Expo today at the Island City Mall, Tagbilaran City, Bohol organized by the Department of Trade and Industry Region 7 and Bohol Provincial Office.
The six Negrense firms are among the Sandugo exhibits that focus on tourism as market, Mae Buaron, DTI-Neg. Occ. trade and industry development specialist, said.
Babylan's Cococraft, Bead Bugz, CCLDO Bacolod Showroom, Reyes House of Piñam Vivo Handicrafts and Yssa's Crafts products are on exhibit in Bohol until July 25, she said.
The six-day Trade Expo will feature products from the Wearables and Homestyle Industry Cluster including gifts, decors, housewares, furniture and furnishings, fashion accessories, and processed foods, she said.
She said DTI Region7 Director and concurrent Negros Island Director Asteria Caberte, wants to showcase Negros as having good exhibitors and a potential source of great products.
DTI-Neg. Occ. facilitated the requirements of the participants, and also subsidized part of the freight handling costs for the products, she said.
Buaron also accompanied the Negros exhibitors to assist them with needs related to the expo.*KBC
