Bing appoints key city officials

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia issued Executive Order 002 appointing officials and assigning cluster coordinators for various offices and departments of the city government to assist him in running the affairs of the city.

Leonardia said the clustering of offices is for effective coordination purposes only, and will not alter the established regular structure of the city government and line of authority and responsibility of all officials, and rank and file personnel.

“In line with our theme Back on Track with our development thrust, the memorandum was issued in order to effect a convergence of plans, programs, budgeting and implementation of the Three Point Agenda of this administration,” he said.

Leonardia appointed Juan Orola as City Administrator, Joselito Bayatan – City Legal Officer, Edward Joseph Cuansing – Secretary to the Mayor, Federico Guanzon Jr. – Supervising and Administrative Officer IV, Edwina Javier – private secretary;

Executive assistants Butch Soliguen, Eduardo Ravena, retired Police Senior Supt. Celestino Guara Jr., Sammy Montoyo, Ernesto Pineda, Jose Maria Vargas, Benjamin Torre, Vanessa Encabo, Marivic Canada, Moises De la Cruz, Rodel Parcon, Anjo Ayco, Vicente Petierre Sr. and retired Police Supt. Armando Tobongbanua.

Ravena and Torre are coordinators of the cluster on finance and business; Soliguen and Montoyo - cluster on social services and barangay affairs; Pineda and Petierre - cluster on sectoral concerns; Ayco is coordinator of cluster on employment, livelihood and scholarship; Amy Tentia and Nelson Sedillo - cluster on infrastructure, solid waste management and environment; Guara and Tobongbanua - cluster on peace and order, police matters, traffic and fire; Vargas is coordinator of cluster on disaster risk reduction and management; and De la Cruz is coordinator of cluster on education and general services office;

Executive assistants with special assignments are Montoyo – public utilities (Ceneco and Baciwa), Encabo – City Legal Office, Parcon – Office of the City Administrator, and Cañada – Administrative Office, City Mayor's Office.*CGS
