Grenades, shabu seized,
but No.1 suspect escapes
BY SHIELA GELERA

Two grenades, four big plastic sachets of suspected shabu, and a plastic container with suspected shabu were seized from the house of an alleged shabu supplier listed as number 1 in the drugs watchlist of Bacolod City, in PurokSibucao, Barangay Banago, yesterday.

However, the subject of the operation identified as RamiePoja, about 30 to 40 years old,had escaped, the police said.

The house of Poja has many exit points, includingone underground, below a makeshift bed.

The police said Poja is one of the suppliers of drugs in Bacolod City.

Last year, the police conducted a buy-bust operation onPoja, where about P1.3 million worth of shabu were seized. However,Poja escaped after tossing a grenade at policemen, but it did not explode.

The DAILY STAR tried but failed to contact Chief Insp. JerickFilosofo, head of the Bacolod City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group, for more details of yesterday's operation and the estimated value of thesuspected shabu seized.

The anti-drugs operation was a joint undertaking of the CAIDSOTG, Regional Special Operations Task Group, Special Action Force, and Public Safety Company personnel.*SGG
