NOFA bats for
fun-oriented footballers

Negros Occidental Football Association president and Dynamic Football League chairman Ricky Yanson said young footballers should enjoy playing their matches while staying competitive and developing their skills.

At the opening of the 2016 DFL 2 nd Conference at the Sta. Maria Football Fields in Talisay City Saturday, Yanson thanked the teams, coaches, and parents for supporting the tournament.

He also encouraged everyone not to allow the pressure of winning the match to take out the fun and prevent the age-groupers from enjoying the game.

“Let us all have fun. That is what we are here for,” Yanson said.

He added that the DFL had been successful since it was launched four years ago “due to the cooperative of the players, the organization and most especially, the parents.”

“Let's not forget to enjoy. It's not just about winning. What is important is for us to have fun,” Yanson stressed.

Also at the opening ceremony were Bacolod City Administrator Atty. John Orola, Executive Assistant to the Governor Angel Verdeflor, and Gabriel Villacin, who joined Yanson and tournament commissioner Ronald Allan Treyes at the ceremonial kick-off.

The 2016 DFL 2 nd Conference will run until September 4 with games to be played on Saturdays only.
