The illegal business of selling marijuana has gone high-tech, with those behind it now using social media.

But the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office also used social media to conduct an entrapment operation Sunday in San Carlos City, that led to the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of about 10 kilos of dried marijuana leaves.

Chief Inspector Mark Anthony Darroca, AIDSOTF chief, said yesterday that they ordered marijuana through a social network, in a ploy to arrest those engaged in the illegal business. This led to the arrest of Bonn Antiquera and Odessa Cañeda in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Rizal, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. moremoremore
