Enduro tames Trekker, 79-76,
to stay unbeaten in Petron Cup

Sprint 4t Enduro survived Rev-X Trekker, 79-76, in the battle of unbeaten teams in the 35 and above category of the Fil-Sino Petron Cup 2016 Tuesday night at Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

The win against Trekker allowed Enduro to finish on top of the team standings with a clean 4-0 slate while Trekker dropped to No. 2 at 3-1. Sprint 4T Racer takes the No. 3 spot with 2-2, while Rev-X HD40 settled for 1-3 and Sprint 4T Rider is winless after four games.

In the game against Enduro, Trekker was up 73-71 late in the fourth quarter until Julius Teruel and Michael Ang connected on back to back triple to wrestle the lead for good.

Beboy Yap iced the game for Enduro with two free throws before Trekker's Arnol Laureño scored the free throws for the final count.

Trekker enjoyed a 40-29 halftime lead as Arnol Laureño scored 11 points but the momentum shifted to the other side as Enduro surprised Trekker with a crippling full court press for an 18-2 run for the first six minutes of the third quarter.

Enduro held on for a 68-65 lead going to the fourth quarter but Trekker managed to get back into the game and grabbed the lead as Laureño and Charlton Ong scoring in the shaded area for a 71-66 advantage.

Enduro got a big lift from Julius Teruel who played his first game and finished with a team-high 21 points while Militante added 17, Yap, Michael Ang and Chibon Uy contributed 12 points apiece.

Laureño sizzled for 33 points in a losing effort as Ong shot 12, Noriel Bermudez drilled 8 points, Alan Su, Jolly Castillo and Tubby Villanueva produced 5 points each.

In the nightcap Ultron Race defeated Ultron Extra, 80-72, in the 35 and below category.

Mark Velez and Ramon Khey paced Ultron Race with 16 points each while Mark Lo scored 14, Pao Pao Lim added 12, Jason Yap made 9 points, Derek Sibug and Nico Lopingco contributed 5 points each.

Luigi Coo led Extra with 18 points as Bren Tajonera shot 17, Sean Wee made 16 points, Aaron Arroyo had 8, and Allen Dionela finished with 6 points.

Ultron Race and Ultron Rallye are tied at No. 1 with a 3-1 win-loss card while Ultron Touring is at solo third with a 2-2, and Ultron Extra and Rev-X all Terrain are tied at 1-3.*
