The Dynamic Football League 2 nd Conference will start today at the Sta. Maria Football Field in Talisay City with 60 teams seeing action in different age-groups.
The tournament will run until September 4 with games to be played on Saturdays only.
With 13 teams competing in the Under11 category, the organizers decided to split the competing squads into two groups.
Seing action in Under 11 Group 1 are: Montevista Elementary School, Seagull Trinitarian FC, Kickers FC, Athletico Magallon FC, Bago FC, Sum-ag ES, and St. Scholastica's Academy.
U11 Group 2 is composed of University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, University of St. La Salle-IS, Educational Training Center School (ETCS) 3, Trinity Christian school, St. John's Institute, and Estefania ES.
In Under 13 category, the competing teams in Group 1 are: Rizal ES, Montevista ES, USLS-IS, ETCS 3, Trinity Christian School, Cadiz FC, Sum-ag ES, and STI-WNU FC.
Teams in Group 2 are: UNO-R, Escalante FC, City of Kabankalan FC, Silay FC, Athletico Magallon FC, Bago FC and SJI.
Also joining the 2 nd Conference of the DFL are girls' team from
(Group 1) Rizal ES, SILAY FC team B, Athletico magallon FC, and SSA Team B;
(Group 2) USLS-IS, Pontevedra FC, Silay FC team A, Centurions FC and SSA-team B.
To add more action to the tournament, the DFL will have the men's open category in this conference.
The six teams competing in the Men's Open are: City of Kabankalan FC, Ceres-La Salle FC, Escalante FC, Silver Dragon FC, Pontevedra FC and Villa Angela FC.
Earlier, Negros Occidental Football Association president and DFL chairman Ricky Yanson said the tournament is the biggest since the competition started four years ago.
The DFL, he said, serves as a training ground for young footballers in the province to develop their skills, Yanson said.*NAB
