Racer dominates
Rider in Petron Cup

Sprint 4t Racer sizzled in the second half to demolish Sprint 4t Rider, 88-70, in the 35 and above category of the Fil-Sino Petron Cup 2016 Monday night at Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Sprint 4T Racer opened the game with a 27-21 led in the first quarter, banking on the balanced offense of Arvin Gustilo while Lexter Ang, Atong Villanueva and Alex Fernandez shot 6 points each for Sprint 4T Rider.

Rider grabbed the upperhand at the break, 47-36, as Bobil Alagaban scored 13 points and Jubert Katalbas added 8 markers.

Racer bounced back in the third quarter and cut down the lead to 58-55 and finally sealed the win with a 33-point fourth quarter output behind the efforts of Rey Pandoro, Glin Ortaliz and Leo Bat-og.

Pandoro paced Racer with 21 points while Bat-og tallied 15, Ortaliz hit 12 points, Gustilo finished with 9, Arian Chua added 8 while Richard Tan had 6 points.

Alagaban paced Rider with 15 points, Matt Deles and Katalbas shot 11 apiece, while Fernandez, Ang and Atong Villanueva delivered 8 points each.

Earlier, Ultron Touring rallied past Rev-X All Terrain, 76-66, in the 35 and under division .

Facing a 48-43 deficit in the third quarter, Ultron Touring turned the tables on Rev-X All Terrain in the payoff quarter as they exploded for 33 points with

Brian Coo delivering 12 points and Danty Ma adding 10 baskets.

Alvin Dionela starred for Touring with 19 points while, Brian Coo finished with 16 and Ma tallied 15.

Cuaycong led All Terrain with 16 points backstopped by Jan Jan Young with 14, Andy Tio hit 9 points and Mark Coo scored 9 points.*
