The Department of Agrarian Reform-Negros Occidental 1 recently trained 70 new development facilitators in Northern Negros on Technical Assistance Support Services to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries.
The training held July 4-6 at the Nature's Village Resort in Talisay City was to prepare the new development facilitators for community organizing and community development, and orient them on the implementation measures and techniques of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.
The orientation was also related to the CARP/ Extension with Reforms mandate through land tenure improvement, agrarian justice, and coordinated delivery of essential support services to client-beneficiaries in North Negros Occidental.
New techniques devised by DAR-Neg. Occ. 1 for Land Tenure Improvement-Program Beneficiaries Development Integration Strategy were shared with the trainees.
The approach is a coordination of both programs/division in bringing land tenure and security, and support services to farmers. Upon receiving the land awarded, support services such as the Agrarian Production Credit Program is provided to the farmers for agricultural expenses.
The participants also underwent workshops on effective communication, entry planning, and hands-on support services activities.
