Adrian Gallardo scored a brace while Patrick Reichelt, Manny Ott, and Bienvenido Marañon added a goal each as Ceres-La Salle FC continued their winning form with a 5-0 rout of Kaya FC yesterday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Ceres had the first crack on goal when Stephan Shröck beat his defender to set-up a one on one with Kaya goalkeeper Matthew Acton. The Fil-German midfielder went around to take his shot but Acton clipped him. Gallardo converted the penalty to open the scoring in the 10 th minute.
Kaya's Robert Lopez-Mendy had a good chance to equalize in the 15th but Casas was there for the save. The Busmen came close in the 28th when Ott's free kick went past the wall but Acton managed to collect it.
In the 38th Jason Sabio found Reichelt open in the wings with the Ceres winger sending a teasing cross towards Gallardo who smashed the ball into the net for the 2-0 lead.
Kaya had a good chance in injury time with Miguel Tanton's 30-yard free kick which went straight to Casas.
Ceres-La Salle came out with urgency after the break and it didn't take long for them to be rewarded when Marañon placed a pinpoint pass towards Reichelt who chested it forward and struck the ball past Acton for Ceres' third goal.
Ott initiated a one-two with Gallardo on the top of the box with Ott knee-ing the ball into the crossbar and in to cement the 4-0 lead in the 58th minute.
Ceres would complete the scoring in the 83rd when Marañon flicked the ball towards an overlapping Kevin Ingresso. Acton came out to secure the attack but misread the ball which bounced over him and towards goal for Ceres' fifth and final goal.*ceresfootball.com
