Senior Supt. Nestor Tiempo is the new acting director of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office.
Tiempo, who was formerly assigned as chief of the PNP Civil Security Group Information and Technology Division, will assume command of NORPPO effective today, replacing Senior Supt. Harris Fama.
Fama, who had served as NORPPO director for almost six months, is up for a higher position, which he earlier said, “will enhance his police career.”
PNP chief, Director General Ronald “Bato“ de la Rosa and Fama are both members of Philippine Military Academy Class 1986.
Senior Superintendent Rene Aspera, also a member of PMA Class 1986, who used to be assigned at the Bacolod City Police Office and commander of the 6th Regional Mobile Group, has been named by de la Rosa as acting director of the Police Security Protection Group.
Chief Supt. Conrado Capa, regional police director of the Negros Island Region, will preside over the change of NORPPO command from Fama to Tiempo, at the Police Regional Office 18 headquarters in Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City.
Fama, Senior Supt. William Señoron, provincial police director of Negros Occidenal, and Senior Supt. Flynn Dongbo, acting director of the Bacolod City Police Office, were installed in their respective positions, on January this year, also by Capa.*GPB
