More users, pushers in city turn up
BY SHIELA GELERA

Seventeen more self-proclaimed drug pushers and users in Bacolod City surrendered to the police, yesterday, bringing up the number of surrenderees to 181.

Some of those in the new batch of self-proclaimed pushers and users of drugs in the area of Police Station 6 are in the drugs watchlist, Chief Insp. Jovil Sedel, the station's commander, said.

Sedel said the surrenderees were released after the police had taken their personal information, photos and documented them.

However, the police warned them that surrendering does not mean they will not be monitored, Sedel said.

Meanwhile, Senior Supt. Flynn Dongbo, Bacolod City Police Office acting city director, said the personnel of the 10 police stations have already visited 32 barangays, where they implemented the Oplan Tokhang (Toktok-Hangyo).

Dongbo said so far only Barangay 20 out of 61 barangays in Bacolod has been cleared of drugs.

But they aim to clear more drug-affected barangays by intensifying more their anti-drug operations, he said .*SGG
