Rallye tames Extra, 93-89, in Petron Cup

Ultron Rallye escaped Ultron Extra, 93-89, while Ultron Race cruised to its second victory holding off Ultron Touring, 80-73, in the 35 and below category of the Fil-Sino Petron Cup 2016 at Tay Tung High School Gym Wednesday night.

Sean Wee sizzled with 37 for Ultron Extra but his efforts were not enough to secure a win for his team as Carlo Chu led Rallye with 32 points.

Wee fired 15 points to lead Extra to a 20-all standoff in the opening quarter while Shinley Uy and Brix Arrobang combined for 14 points for Rallye.

Class 71-73 back on top
in NOHS bowling tourney

NOHS Class 71-73 Combined reclaimed the leadership in the premiere division, while NOHS Batch '97 and NOHS Batch 2000-Up stayed on top in Bracket B and C of the ongoing Negros Occidental High School/Bacolod City National High School /Domingo Lacson National High School Triangular Bowl Fest for Unity 2016 at the Negros Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Going into tomorrow's penultimate day of action, the Leah Uy-led Class 71-73 is again on top of the team standings with a total score of 6,024 points, sending erstwhile leader BCNHS Class '80 anchored by Johanne Genolos to No. 2 with 5,981 after a dismal performance in the fourth round with 1,426.

NOHS Batch '99 piloted by Richard Secuelan registered 1,685 to climb to take the No. 3 spot from seventh spot for 5,929.

`I Run for GK' set July 30

A 5K fun run, organized to raise funds for the farm project in Gawad Kalinga ERH Village in Brgy. Sum-ag Bacolod City, is scheduled on July 30.

The fun run will start 5 a.m. from Transcom in Brgy. Tangub to Gawad Kalinga ERH Village. The event is spearheaded by by the ISC Paris Business School and Aide Mondiale represented by five French interns.

Proceeds from the event will used to develop the farm of GK ERH Village in line with the Gawad Kalinga's mission of building sustainable communities to end provery, Tony Altonaga of the organizing group said.
