Class 71-73 back on top in
NOHS bowling tourney

NOHS Class 71-73 Combined reclaimed the leadership in the premiere division, while NOHS Batch '97 and NOHS Batch 2000-Up stayed on top in Bracket B and C of the ongoing Negros Occidental High School/Bacolod City National High School /Domingo Lacson National High School Triangular Bowl Fest for Unity 2016 at the Negros Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Going into tomorrow's penultimate day of action, the Leah Uy-led Class 71-73 is again on top of the team standings with a total score of 6,024 points, sending erstwhile leader BCNHS Class '80 anchored by Johanne Genolos to No. 2 with 5,981 after a dismal performance in the fourth round with 1,426.

NOHS Batch '99 piloted by Richard Secuelan registered 1,685 to climb to take the No. 3 spot from seventh spot for 5,929.

DLNHS C'75 has 5,926; BCHS C'74, 5,925; NOHS C'96, 5,846; BCHS C'79, 5,728; DLNHS C'77, 5,697; BCHS C'73, 5,618, and DLNHS C'88-89, 5,367.

Leading in Bracket B is NOHS Batch '97 anchored by Karl Barbosa with 5,983 followed by BCHS C'72 with 5,922.

Competing in the same category are NOHS Batch '94 with 5,866;BCHS C'81, 5,800; NOHS C'85, 5,775; NOHS Batch '95, 5,756; NOHS C'87m 5,715; NOHS Batch '90, 5,709; NOHS C'83, 5,677 and BCNHS '90, 5,583.

NOHS Batch 2000-up, spearheaded by brothers Rommel and Raymund Galvan, lead Bracket 7 with 5,627.

Other scores: DLNHS Class '78 posted 5,502; BCNHS C'85, 5,498; BCHS C'84, 5,468; BCHS C'67, 5,455; NOHS Batch 2002, 5,258 and BCHS C'86, 5,118.

NOHS Batch '99 registered the new mark in the team's highest single and triple with 597 and 1,685, respectively.

The individual record holders are Karl Barbosa (NOHS B'97) in the men's highest pinning with 97; Mundo Matillano (BCHS '72) in single with 158, and Essho Garcia (NOHS '95) in triple with 378.

Lorena Magbiray (BCHS C'79) in women's pinning with 95 and Josel Balontong (NOHS B'97) in single and triple with 131 and 349.
