More ‘drug' surrenderees
recorded in Negros Oriental

The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office released yesterday the full report coming from the different police stations in cities and municipalities, with 2,062 suspected drug pushers and users, who voluntarily surrendered through the “Oplan Tokhang” and Project Double Barrel.

Provincial director Harris Fama said as reported from the Amigo Cops Negros Oriental Text Blast project, the number of surrenderees had increased to 2,062 with 907 July 5 and 1,155 yesterday. The drug pushers and users were being processed by their respective police stations in the province.

The voluntary surrender from the Sibulan Police Station was 448, followed by Guihulngan City 386, Tanjay City 185, Bais City 147, San Jose 131, Bayawan City 119, Dauin 123, Amlan 89, Basay 56, Zamboanguita 55, Tayasan 54, Valencia 40, Vallehermoso 35, Ayungon 32, Bindoy 24, La Libertad 23, Manjuyod 19, Mabinay 17, Sta. Catalina 17, Jimalalud 16, Pamplona 13, Siaton 12, Dumaguete City 11, Bacong 7, and Canlaon City 3.

Fama said that these pushers and users voluntarily surrendered through Project Double Barrel and Oplan Tokhang in line with the objectives of President Rodrigo Duterte and the new PNP Chief, PDG Ronald DelaRosa.*RG
