BY GILBERT BAYORAN

“Those who will not surrender will be hurt. That's a guarantee.”

The warning to those engaged in the illegal drug trade came from Chief Supt. Conrado Capa, regional police director of Negros island, who has vowed to exert more pressure on them.

In Negros Occidental alone, Capa reported that about 700 drug peddlers and users, accompanied by their barangay officials trooped to various police stations, and surrendered, in the past two weeks. moremoremore

BY JUDY F. PARTLOW

A random drug testing was conducted among policemen, who attended the first anti-drugs summit of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office in Dumaguete City yesterday.

The chiefs of police of the different cities and municipalities in Negros Oriental, as well as barangay captains and barangay officials and law enforcement agencies attended the summit.

Philippine National Police acting provincial director Sr. Supt. Harris Fama, in his message at the opening of the half-day summit, said the PNP Regional Office 18 of the Negros Island Region was the first to hold the activity among all the police regional offices in the country. .
