Ultron Touring notches
first win in Petron Cup

Ultron Touring bounced back from an opening day loss to conquer Ultron Rallye, 73-66, while Ultron Race also notched its fir victory against Rev-X All Terrain, 65-57, in the 35-and-below category of the Fil-Sino Petron Cup 2016 at Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Roderick De Los Santos knocked down five triples and DK Equipaje added seven points as Rallye enjoyed a 41-31 lead at halftime, while Brian Coo, Joshua Co and Jeremy Coo tried combined for 25 points for Touring .

Rallye offense slowed down in the second half as they were limited to nine points in the third quarter while Touring got nine points from Jeremy Coo and eight points more from Danty Ma to grab the lead at 54-50 end of third.

Touring outscored Rallye again the in the fourth quarter for its first win in the tournament.

Jeremy Coo topscored for Touring with 21 points while Joshua Co hit 16 points and Brian Coo and Ma tallied 14 points each.

Equipaje finished with 14 points for Rallye, Joshua Chua shot 10, Brix Arrobang produced 9 points and Robbie Jalandoon drilled in 6 makers.

In the other game, Ultron Race had an easier outing as they outscored Rev-X All Terrain in the first three quarters for their first victory.

Ramon Khey connected on three triples to jumpstart the Race offense with a 17-9 opening quarter lead.

Marc Lo , Mark Velez and Eugene Jalandoni combined for 14 points to extend the lead at the half, 35-26, even as Kenderson Hao scored 6 points for All Terrain.

Race extended the lead to double digit at 51-40 as Velez scored 8 points, while Ong and Dirk Dongon combined for 8 points for All Terrain.

Yan Yan Dy and Jappy Cuaycong scored 5 points each but it was another low quarter output by All Terrain as they failed to wrestle the lead established by Race.

Velez and Lo shared scoring honors for Race with 16 points each while Khey added 13, Jalandoni delivered 6 points and Joel Masadia had 4 points.

Dirk Dongon led Rev-X All Terrain with 11 points, backstopped by Hao with 10 points, Dy and Dan Dan Ong 9 points apiece and Cuaycong with 6 points.*
