Cooperative donates chairs
to school destroyed by fire
BY JUDY F. PARTLOW

The Perpetual Help Community Cooperative Inc. has turned over 35 plastic arm chairs to the Plaza Central Elementary School in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, Tuesday.

The donation was made possible through the approval of the PHCCI Board of Directors through the endorsement of director Profetiza Lim.

The Plaza Central Elementary School caught fire January 18, and lost classrooms, chairs, tables and other facilities for the children. It is the first Aflatoun program partner school of the cooperative in Tanjay City.

Profetiza Lim, Board of director and committee chairperson on Aflatoun, said PHCCI has been discerning for the best donation for the school. The cooperative will always extend help especially to partner schools in crisis situations.

She added she hopes that the donation can help the school and the children enjoy the comfort of learning in school.

Tanjay Plaza Central School is close to the heart of Lim since she was once assigned as division superintendent-Tanjay Division before she retired from the Department of Education.

Schools division superintendent Bernardo Ysulan and assistant schools division superintendent Orlando Gadano both expressed their gratitude to the PHCCI for the donation.

The activity was attended by Ysulan, Cadano, Division DRRM coordinator Nestor Jadraque, and Division SHS focal person Annabelle Cornelio. Representatives from PHCCI included Lim, Cliffordson Lariosa and Germelin Rodriguez.*JFP/MAV
