Ultron Rallye registers opening day
win in Fil-Sino Petron Cup cagefest

Ultron Rallye dominated Ultron Race in the second quarter en route to an 85-67 opening day victory in the Fil-Sino Petron Cup 2016 played Monday night at Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

In the other match-up, Ultron Extra squeaked past Ultron Touring, 79-76, in the 35- and- below category.

Stepping on the gas in the second quarter, Rallye turned a 12-10 opening quarter deficit to a 49-33 advantage by halftime as Carlo Chu scored 13 points with teammates Robbie Jalandoon and Devin Dreygus adding 6 points each.

Reigning OPBF champ to defend title
vs. undefeated Japanese rival

Reigning Orient Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) flyweight champion Ardin “The Jackal” Diale of the Philippines will defend his title against the undefeated Japanese Daigo Higa tomorrow at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Diale has a record of 31 wins with 15 knockouts against 9 loses and 3 draws while Higa is still unbeaten with nine straight wins.

The 27-year old Diale, a native of Malungon, Sarangani Province, won the vacant OPBF crown by a unanimous decision win over Renoel Pael last Dec. 2 in Mandaluyong City.

BCY/Rapha I leads race
for top 4 in Trio bowlfest

Seven teams are eyeing the top four seats in the finals of the 5 th Bowlers Club of Bacolod City Open Trio Bowling Spectacle at the Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.

With four more rounds to go, BCY/Rapha I temporarily holds the top spot with 5,822 points, while Davies I lags 30 pins behind with 5,792.

Five more teams remain in contention with TNT/Roa's Lechon carrying h 5,743 points, BCY Rapha II, 5,707; KMH Fyr Fyter, 5,666; NPBC RJ Stars, 5,631; PLS Electronz, 5,611, and KMH Alpha Ones, 5,553.
