31 pushers, users surrender: police

Thirty-one suspected pushers and users of illegal drugs surrendered to the Guihulngan City Police Station in Negros Oriental yesterday and Wednesday.

The police documented 19 suspected drug pushers and users, who surrendered to the police yesterday, while on Wednesday, 12 personalities were recorded. They were documented and made to sign an undertaking of support to the anti-drugs campaign of the police.

The Guihulngan Police operatives also arrested a suspected shabu peddler in a buy-bust operation yesterday in Sitio Looc, Brgy. Poblacion, Guihulngan City.

A report sent by the Amigo Cops Negros Oriental Text Blast, Guihulngan PSupt. D'Artagnan Katalbas Jr., at 7:55 a.m. yesterday conducted a buy-bust operation in the said barangay and were able to arrest Isagani Magos, 36 years old, single and a resident of the place for violation of Section 5 (selling of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002..

The suspect was caught in possession of two heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected shabu. The suspect is now in police custody awaiting for inquest proceeding.*RG
