Silver Dragon posts win Fil-Sino

Silver Dragon Transport debuted with a victory against AACI Trading, 71-59, and AACI Transport notched its second win at the expense of JSY Transport, 84-64, in the Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade Inter-Company Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Joshua Co paced Silver Dragon with 24 points and Francis Glenn Tan added 19 as the duo combined for 21 points in the opening quarter with teammate Roderick De Los Santos adding 3 triples for a 30-16 lead.

But Silver Dragon's offense dipped in the second canto as they can only score 9 points while AACI Trading tallied 15 markers, 7 of them from Jeremy Coo to cut the deficit to 39-31.

AACI Trading continued to struggle in the offense department in the second half as Silver Dragon coasted to victory behind Tan and Co combined output of 22 in the third and fourth quarters.

De Los Santos added 12 points while Mic Mic Germudo and Bingbong Villanueva scored 4 points each.

AACI Transport was led by Beejay Paredes with 9 points, all scored in the first quarter while Jeremy Coo, Jake Bilbao and Jomarie Regalado added 7 points each.

Meanwhile, JSY Transport took an early 25-18 lead in the first quarter behind Arnol Laureno ‘s13 points as Mark Binguan paced AACI with 7 points and teammates Leo Bat-og and Keith Banzon with 6 points each.

In the second quarter, Marc Lo and Randell Uy conspired for 13 points to carry AACI past JSY at the break, 46-35.

There was no turning back for AACI Transport as they continueD to outscore JSY in the second half for its second straight win in as many outings.

Banzon knocked down 5 triples for 15 points as Lo and Uy added 12 points each. Bat-og contributed 13 and Toffel Tan chipped in 8 points.

Shinley Uy paced JSY Transport with 19 points as Laureño shot 14, and Mark Binguan finished with 12 points.*
