Provincial Election Supervisor Jessie Suarez yesterday called on all Negros Occidental bets to check the recently posted Commission on Elections list of local candidates for verification.
The list of local candidates is posted in the Comelec website at http://www.comelec.gov.ph , Suarez said.
Candidates can check the list to determine if their proper names have been posted and their number on the ballot, or seek clarification from the election officers in the areas where they are running for office, he said.
Transport groups have agreed to reduce the fare rates in public utility jeepneys in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, Regional Director Romulo Bernardes of Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board-Western Visayas said.
This was after consultation was held yesterday and some disagreed with the fare cutback at first, everyone eventually agreed on the decision, Bernardes said.
