The naked body of a certified public accountant was found in his car in front of the Ayala construction site at San Juan Street in Barangay 8, Bacolod City, at about 11 p.m. Friday.
The fatality, 75, whose name the DAILY STAR withheld on request of the family, was covered with a white blanket, in the trunk of the car, a police report said.
A white towel owned by an apartelle was wrapped around the victim's mouth and he was hogtied with a white pillow case, police records show.
Police Insp. Joeven Lavilla, Station 2 deputy chief, said yesterday that they are eyeing two suspects in the incident.
The victim had not returned home so his family looked for him around Bacolod and saw his car at the construction site, Lavilla said.
No physical wounds were noted on the body of the victim, Lavilla said.
He said the investigation to identify the suspects is ongoing.
But initially, robbery is being eyed as motive in the killing as the victim's cellular phone and wallet were missing, Lavilla said.
The body was brought to the St. Peter Funeral Homes in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod for autopsy, police records show.
The police are also checking for close-circuit television cameras that could have captured the incident.*SGG
