PKTS karatekas rule
Las Piñas tournament

Karatekas from PKTA-RNKA Bacolod earned 10 golds, one silver and one bronze medal to earn the overall championship in the PKF-NSA-supervised karatedo tournament in Las Piñas City.

The team from Bacolod shared the spotlight with the PKTS National which won five gold medals.

Mentored by Romy Lisondra Jr., Margueritte Abastillas Cala-or, and o Joy Tubongbanua, the karatekas from Bacolod topped the intermediate kata, advance kata, and kumite events.

Charles Angelo Rodriguez of University of St. La Salle-Integrated School won in the kumite category through a take down point against his opponent from holy Angels in Pampanga, He also won the gold medal in the advance kata event.

The other medalists for the team from Bacolod were Elianah Marie, Contiga, Mary Kathleen Caneiso, Cherry Angela Rodriguez, and Reivax Josh Condada.

Contiga and Caneiso displayed their winning ofrm in the novice kata while Rodriguez bagged the gold medal in intermediate kata and Condada the silver in the same event.

The tournament drew participation from 19 teams from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.*
