The Negros Oriental Electric Cooperative 2 announced a power service interruption, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. today in Amlan, Pamplona and Tanjay City.

General manager Dionefred Macahig said the Amlan-Guihulngan 69kV transmission line of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, which conveys power to the Tanjay substation will be shut down.

He said Monte Solar Energy Inc. requested the shutdown so they can implement the tapping of their plant in Bais City. The NGCP will also conduct maintenance along the line and preventive maintenance schedule of the 50MVA transformer that supplies the line.

Macahig said all works may be finished ahead of time and power may be restored earlier than scheduled, and member-customer-owners in affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions.*RG
