NOCCI lauds Dumaguete

The Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry congratulated the city government of Dumaguete for another global achievement in 2016.

NOCCI president Ed Du was referring to the recent announcement of Tholons, an international strategic advisory firm that Dumaguete City inched up to 93 rd spot in the company's 2016 list of top 100 business process outsourcing destinations in the world.

Before this, Dumaguete was also ranked as the number one tourist destination by travelers in Asia by Agoda.com, Du said in a press release yesterday.

NegOr tourism
campaign launched

A new tourism campaign was launched recently, dubbed “Negros Oriental: This is what you want to live”, to spur the province marketing and to attract local and foreign tourists to choose Negros Oriental as their destination.

Under the Local Governance Support Program for Local Economic Development (LGSP-LED), the private and public sectors also formulated a tour package with common rates for travel and tours operators in the province, a press release said.

The two travel and tour operator groups in the province agreed to have common tour packages and create more opportunities in the local tourism industry.
