P2B Bacolod budget ok'd

The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod unanimously approved the P2 billion annual budget for 2017 of the Bacolod City government during its regular session yesterday.

The 2017 annual budget is an increase of about P200 million from last year's budget of P1.8 million.

Negros SP okays
add'l P22 million

The Negros Occidental Sangguniang Panlalawigan yesterday approved supplemental budgets numbers four and five of the provincial government and its Economic Enterprise Development Department totaling P22,094,987.

The supplemental budget number 5 of the province of Negros Occidental is P19.6 million and for EEDD, P2.4 million.

Of the P19.6 million supplemental budget, P17,637,190 has been allocated to payment of loans to the Development Bank of the Philippines, while the remaining P1.9 million has been earmarked for travelling expenses of various Capitol offices. moremoremore

Bindoy 99.4% compliant
against open defecation

Testimonials from pilot municipalities Bindoy in Negros Oriental and Calatrava in Negros Occidental highlighted the caravan of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Negros Island Region, in celebration of World Toilet Day recently, on the theme “Toilets and Jobs”.

They presented and shared the implementation practices and realizations of the Zero Open Defecation or ZOD program of the department, its press release said.

Bindoy is currently 99.4 percent compliant with the program, while Calatrava has a 95 percent compliance rate of the 10 barangays covered out of 40.
