NTU Tigers coach Reyes
wins gold in South Korea

After guiding the young NTU Tigers taekwondo jins to several championships in local and national tournaments, coach Pauline Reyes grabbed a gold medal for herself recently, in a poomsae challenge in South Korea.

Reyes was part of the Philippine delegation that joined the July 17-25 training at the 2016 Chosun University International Taekwondo Academy.

She won the gold in the Chosun University Internatioal Poomsae Taekwondo Championships that was held at the last day of their training.

In bagging the gold medal, Reyes competed against other taekwondo practitioners all over the world including those from the US and from host South Korea.

Before leaving for Korea last month, the NTU Tigers coach guided her young wards into winning several medals in the 40th Smart National Taekwondo Championships held in Manila.

The Tigers won the overall championship (gold medal) in the advance elementary girls category and finished first runner-up (silver medal) in the advance elementary boys and advance cadet girls event.

The NTU Tigers gold medalists were Ana Rose Carido, Jamiehannah Agaloos, Leigh Andee Rodriguez, Keah Muyco, Mervonne Nicor and Marielle Beronio. Nicor also received a special citation as the best player in her event.*NAB
