DAR installs
30 farmers in Kabankalan

Thirty farmers in Kabankalan recently received a total of 14.2 hectares in Barangay Daan Banwa, from the Department of Agrarian Reform-Negros Occidental 2 under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.

The farmers were installed in the agricultural land previously owned by the Traders Royal Bank, now Bank of Commerce, in Kabankalan.

Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer, Luz Rezaga, reminded the beneficiaries not to throw away this chance of cultivating their own land, adding that the installation completes the processof land transfer to the farmers.

She also promised that the department will continue supporting all farmer beneficiaries as stressed by DAR Secretary Rafael Mariano.

The installation ceremony was witnessed by the Provincial Task Force on Installation, Philippine National Police of Kabankalan City, DAR Provincial Office Survey Team, legal officers, and other Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries.*KBC
