Blitz starts title retention bid in D-League

          Defending champions Blitz takes on BCREA-AFINO I in the main event today of the 2016 D-League Basketball Tournament double-header at the STI-West Negros University gym.

          Leading Blitz in its bid to keep the crown they won last year are Etoy Zuniga Jay Agulan, Marty Cadagat, Emil Guanzon, Arvin Divino, John Lee, Andre Enad, Ronald Margen, Llamado, Cromwel Duran, Cesar Baloyo, Algin Araneta, Christian Young, Michael Lopez and the Derrama siblings – Augller and Audin.

          Expected to put up a good fight against the defending champs are the are the equally talented lineup of BACREA-AFINO compose of Stephen Fuentes, Stephen Dormido, Jun Sironga, Jenson Palomer, Odelon Pascual, Danny Esquilla, Nick Pabillo, Ed Barbas, Jay-r Mag-alasin, Justin Tabligan, Jeth Rusia, Je Gamban and Van Rodriguez.

          In the opening game, Akasya/Buffalo shoots for its first win against Ice Sportswear/SKF.

          Donning the colors of Akasya are Sarge Noble, Paul Jison, Ikoy Locsin, Ambok Javelosa, Paisa Alonso, Mark Jimenez, Brian Tajonera, Genmar Zagado, Chenry Beronio, Kitoy Magahis, Raul Javelosa, Roger Paciones, Sol Lobrido, Eljohn Javelosa, Jomarie Regalado and Harmond Ortega.

Ice Sportswear, on the other hand, will have Luigi Herrera, Don Cerna, Patrick Lizares, Jufran Publico, Tawin and Johnson Armas; Alex Lopez, Ribo Pateno, Shem and Jade Claridad; Jun Dublas, Jaco Lopez, Chris Chua, Jun Estimar, Arvin Pascua and Jay Uy.

Also seeing action in the tournament are: Tony Agustin’s RDSA, Jason Yap’s Asian Grains Corporation, Kenderson Hao’s ESJ Residences, Gilbert Sy’s Nena’s Market Place, and Francis Ramos’ AA Electrical.

          Games are played on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.*
