Central Negros Electric Cooperative expects to fully restore power to the northern part of Bacolod City, Talisay City and Silay City today, Chuchie Destriza, Central Negros Electric Cooperative OIC general manager, said last night.
The power interruption has affected thousands of households under the CENECO coverage area, she said.
Officials and employees of the Bacolod City Water District were alarmed when an unidentified male caller informed them at about noontime yesterday that there was a bomb inside the Baciwa building.
The call was received by customer service clerk Ma. Corazon De los Santos at about 11 a.m. from a person who had a Muslim accent, Joy Cañonero, Baciwa management information system analyst, said yesterday.
Cañonero said that, according to De los Santos, the caller told her "Salamalaykom. May bomba dyan. May bomba diyan. Sasabog diyan within 30 seconds. Umalis na kayo ng office" (There is a bomb there that will explode within 30 seconds. Leave the office). .
