Trade fair trainings on

The Department of Trade and Industry is equipping Negrenses micro, small and medium enterprises in local and national trade fairs this year, Rachel Nufable, DTI Senior Trade and Industry Development Specialist, said yesterday.

Nufable said DTI has been conducting trade fair seminar-workshops with both established and emerging enterprises in the province. It is also conducting financial fora with these companies inorder to help source funds for the production and showcasing of local products in trade shows.

Ten furniture and decorations companies are currently preparing for the Manila FAME, organized by the Center for International Trade Exposition and Mission, on October 20-23 at the World Trade Center, Metro Manila, she said.

Negros-based firms will also join the Sandugo Trade Expo on July 19-24. The expo is co-organized by DTI and the Department of Tourism Region 7 and will be held at the Black Island City.

Also in July, The Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry will also host the MBCCI Trade exhibit at Robinsons Place Bacolod. On July 25-31 The Bulawan Fair hosted by the Association of Negros Producers will also be held at Robinsons, she said.

ANP will also bring Negros firms in the textile, food, furniture and tourism industry to the Negros Trade Fair at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City on Sept. 14-18.

She said DTI-7 will also lead the Pangalo Week-End Bazaar in October and December, and will be joined by Negrense companies. In October, ANP will also lead the Masskara Fair at Robinsons Place Bacolod.

In December, local producers will also join the Likhang Kamay at the Makati LGU Museum and Cultural Affairs Office, and the Christmas Bazaar at the Robinsons Mall, hosted by ANP, Nufable also said.*KBC
