Candidates to
ink peace covenant

Negros Occidental and Oriental candidates are set to sign a peace covenant at the Bacolod Pavillon Hotel in Bacolod City today.

The signing of the peace covenant will be part of a Comelec Forum on Women and Election Related Violence that will start at 8 a.m., Negros Occidental election supervisor Ian Lee Ananoria said.

The signing of the peace covenant will be participated in by candidates for governor, vice governor and Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, and Bacolod bets, he added.

COMELEC Commissioner Rowena Guanzon, who heads the Comelec Gender and Development Committee, is expected at the affair.*CPG
