Negros-based products were a hit at the Agora de Cebu Trade Fair held during the Aboitiz-Moraza Family Reunion at the Cebu Country Club in Banilad, Cebu from July 10 to 11.
Sales and Marketing Manager Ana Michael of the Association of Negros Producers (ANP) yesterday said that their participation in Agora de Cebu was more than good because they were able to exceed their expected target P100,000 in sales.
The reception of Cebuanos to the Negros Showroom and the Negrense products being showcased was quite warm. Among our bestsellers were Virgie's delicacies, VICMIK's hand-embroidered children's dresses, and Casa Carmela's salsa de bacalao, Michael said.
The Negros Showroom also featured furniture, ornaments, accessories, clothing, textiles, and other handicrafts by Negrense producers during the family reunion affair that was open to the public.
Michael said that this was the first time that the Negros Showroom and ANP participated in a semi-personal affair such as the family reunion of the Aboitiz-Moraza clans.
The future is full of potentials for the marketability of Negrense products. Our province has undiscovered treasures in the form of products which can sell themselves, she said.*PSF
