in St John's Alumni basketball

St. John's Institute Batch 2012-13 dropped a dizzying 14-0 closing game run to get away with an 84-91 win against Batch 96-98 in the recent match-up of the SJI 6 th Msgr. John Liu and Msgr. John Su Basketball Friendship Cup at the MSgr. John Liu Activities Center.

Falling behind at 70-81 with 3 ½ minutes left in the game, playmaker Joshua Co took charge to score 9 of the last 14 points for 2012-13 to complete the come-from- behind victory.

Mark Kho scored the go ahead basket, before Co nailed the 2 free throws for the final count.

St. Joseph-LS Shieldz eyes title
in inter-school bowling tourney

The 3 rd Inter-school Bowling Tournament for Unity 2015 will resume tomorrow with St. Joseph La Salle Shieldz Team leading the cast of finalists in the premiere division, and Bacolod City High School Avengers in Class B category.

Games will start 4 p.m. at the Negros Super Bowling Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The SJS-LS bowlers topped the elimination round with 7,824 points, making them the favorite pick to bag the tournament's crown.

Galang hits winning basket
for Team A in YBAC caging

Team A trailed Team B all throughout the game until Narciso Galang knocked down a buzzer beater winning shot for a 76-75 win in Your Basketball Athletic Club 3rd Conference at the STI-West Negros University gym, a press release from YBAC said.

Galang finished with 14 points, 6 of them in the fourth quarter including the winning basket that gave Team A a back-to-back win in the tournament.

Eric Deloria topscored for Team A with 22 points while Alfredo Rosales added 11, Rudy Nonato with 8 points, Jun Ballesteros, Abraham Magay, Adelino Aurino, Jayson Cagayanan, Joenel Anico, and Marlon Caballero combined for 17 points.
