Manny Pacquiao warned Floyd Mayweather he has been honing his killer instinct as he was welcomed to Las Vegas by a deafening horde of supporters.

A day after wrapping up his Los Angeles training camp, the Filipino superstar delighted hundreds of loyal fans at a rally in Sin City as the final countdown to his career-defining "Fight of Century" began.

Most bookmakers have made the unbeaten Mayweather the favorite for Sunday's eagerly-anticipated welterweight bout at the MGM Grand, the most lucrative in boxing history.

Sharp-BUS G cagefest
opens May 10 at JGC

Six teams will see action in the 40 Up categorgy while five will vie for the title when the Sharp-Basketball Unified Sports Group Invitational Tournament kicks off on May 10 at the JGC gym at Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City, a press release from BUS G said.

A final meeting of representatives of the participating teams will be held on May 5, 5:30 p.m. at Apollo Restaurant Shopping, said Rogelio 'Bing' Soyao, BUSG adviser and league organizer, the press release said.

To see action in the 40 Up are Negros Basketball Group, Alijis Basketball Club, Talisay Basketball Athletic Club, Murcia, La Carlota and host BUS Group.

PNP, AFP step up security
as Palaro delegates arrive

The Philippine National Police PNP stepped up security arrangements for the 2015 Palarong Pambansa as delegates start arriving yesterday in Tagum City.

PNP Police Regional Office (PRO) XI Chief of Staff P/Sr. Supt. Camilo Cascolan said they are expecting 10,500 delegates for the Palarong Pambansa by Saturday. While some games start on Sunday, the grand opening rites will be held on Monday afternoon. Delegates will be coming from 17 regions in the country.
