Sharp-BUS G cagefest
opens May 10 at JGC

Six teams will see action in the 40 Up categorgy while five will vie for the title when the Sharp-Basketball Unified Sports Group Invitational Tournament kicks off on May 10 at the JGC gym at Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City, a press release from BUS G said.

A final meeting of representatives of the participating teams will be held on May 5, 5:30 p.m. at Apollo Restaurant Shopping, said Rogelio 'Bing' Soyao, BUSG adviser and league organizer, the press release said.

To see action in the 40 Up are Negros Basketball Group, Alijis Basketball Club, Talisay Basketball Athletic Club, Murcia, La Carlota and host BUS Group.

In the 50 Up are Homesite's Saturday Club, TBAC, La Carlota, Alijis BC, and host Huskies, the press release said.

Tournament format is double round robin elimination, crossover semifinal and knockout final with the No. 1 and No. 2 teams having a twice-to-beat advantage in the semifinals, it added.*
