Group exhibit ongoing at
A group exhibit titled “MassKara at Iban Pa” opened Tuesday at the replica of the Bacolod City Government Center at the Bacolod Plaza and will run until today.
The exhibit showcases local Negrense traditions, food, culture and religion, a press release from the Museo Diocesano said.
Bacolod first lady Josefa Puentevella, Councilor Em Ang, chairman of the SP Committee on History, Culture and Arts, and Joe Dureza were at the occasion with Butch Gerasmo of the City Tourism office and Nunelucio Alvarado, president of the Art Association of Bacolod-Negros, it said.
Participating artists are Fred Juson, Paul Sumagaysay, Ma. Fe. Sumagaysay-Cuesta, Richie Arvin Cuesta, Ramon de los Santos, Noby Juno, Dolly Gatuslao, Adrin Torres, Agustin Chavez, Roy Aguilar, Nunistell Fulo-Lee, Joe Roehl, Revo Yanson, Benjie Valenciano, Ian Valladarez, Andrew de la Peña, Sony Golez, Marlon Domingo and Edsie Valladarez, with the participation of foreign artists, Mitchel Marin and Cyril Pujol.
The exhibit is an initiative of the Museo Diocesano de Bacolod, curator Sandy Solinap, Negrense Artist Association-Philippines head Nunistell Fulo-Lee, and the San Sebastian Cultural Commission, the press release said.
Guests were entertained by Artistik Negrense and SLOT 3:30 Childrens Choir from the San Sebastian Cathedral, it also said.*
