NVC 2014 Capitol awardee

The recipient of this year's outstanding Negrense award given by the Negros Occidental provincial government is the Negrense Volunteers for Change.

The award will be given by Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. at the 116th Cinco de Noviembre rites at the Social Hall of the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol at 4:30 p.m. on November 5.

The theme of this year's Cinco de Noviembre rites is “Pasidungog sa mga Bag-o nga Baganihan (Honoring New Heroes).”

The provincial government is recognizing NVC for its contribution towards development in the fields of education, nutrition and livelihood in Negros Occidental and other parts of the country.

At 7:45 a.m. of November 5, a program will also be held at the provincial Capitol Park, led by the governor, where provincial government projects will be turned over to their recipients.*CPG
