St Benilde rules taekwondo

De La Salle-College of St. Benilde was crowned champion in men and women’s taekwondo to retained the twin titles the school won last year in the Philippine University Games.

The DLS-CSB men’s karatedo team finished with three gold and four bronze medals, while the women team collected 5 gold medals, a silver and a bronze to dominate the event.

Naga College Foundation men’s team settled for first runner up with two gold and two silver medals, while Lyceum of the Philippines University was at third place with one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals.

In women’s karatedo, Lyceum trailed St. Benilde with one gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals, while University of immaculate Concepcion in Davao City placed third one gold medal.

St. Benilde’s individual gold medalists in men’s karatedo were Tristan Dale Cayago in the 54-58 kg.; Carl Nazario Garcia in 58-63 kg., and Keno Anthony Mendoza in the 63-68 kg.

Naga College Foundation gold medalists were Joshua Alog Infeliz in below 54 kgs., and Nico Lula in 74-80 kgs.*NAB
