NPC-Rotary awards night Nov.

The Rotary Club of Bacolod East is joining the Negros Press Club in giving awards to deserving NPC members during the holding of the 1st NPC Media Excellence Awards that has been reset to November 15 at 6 p.m. at the Social Hall, of the Provincial Capitol Building at Gatuslao Street, Bacolod City.

NPC president Carla Cañet said there will be two categories for these awards such as the 1st NPC Media Excellence Award and the Rotary Club of Bacolod East Media Lifetime Achievement Award.

The NPC has already received nominations from various stations and media entities and has submitted the same to the Selection Committee composed of NPC past presidents Modesto Sa-onoy, Ruperto Toga, and Rolando Espina. The committee has likewise undertaken the process of selection.

The Rotary Club of Bacolod East led by its president Bacolod City Councilor Sonya Verdeflor, with Elsie Jolingan as chairperson of the Committee on Public Image, has also started the process of selecting media practitioners with whom they considered as deserving of the “Media Lifetime Achievement Award.”

The two organizations and officers have already met several times and discussed the details of the awards including preparations for this joint undertaking.*
