Five-days after a heart-breaking last-minute loss in the AFC President's Cup qualifier in Bacolod City, Ceres – La Salle Football Club Wednesday stamped its class in UFL Division 2 with a 9-1 demolition of Dolphins at Emperador Stadium in Taguig City.

Ceres-La Salle also scored nine markers against Dolphins in their first-round match, the latter posting twin goals then.

It was the Negros-based squad's twelfth win in 16 outings against three draws and a loss to regain the lead in the 12-team competition.

Four teams eye YBAC crown

Your Basketball Athletic Club Inter-color Basketball Tournament opened Wednesday night at the West Negros University Gym with four teams eyeing the championship, a press release from the group said.

Team A of Jun Ballesteros is bannered by Rudy ‘Small' Nonato, Vincent Javelosa, lawyer Arnel Lapore, A. Rosal, Narciso Galang, Niel Ko, Lito Diolaso, Jojo Chua, Romy Sibolboro, and newcomers Stone Ang, Jason Olivar and Joel Libanan.

Suiting up for Bong Ibe's Team B are Jun-Jun Luciano, Mario Reyes, Peewee Demonteverde, Pete Apura, Eric Abanilla, Joenel Anico, RJ Pendon, Nathaniel Bacaron, Eugene Valenzuela and Ptr. James Jaruda, and newcomer Pedrito Rosales, the press release said.
