350 needed for
Talisay retail store

Retail store Metro’s branch that is being constructed in Talisay will need 350 employees, City Public Employment Services Office Manager, Rex Jibales, said yesterday.

Viscal Development Corp. owns Metro.

Jibales said the retail store management, which is Cebu-based, will hold a jobs fair at the De la Rama Hall of the New Talisay City Hall from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow.

Among the available vacancies are those for cashiers, sales clerks, baggers and supervisors and those who wish to apply should bring their bio-data and application letter.

Jibales said the jobs fair tomorrow is the second one and already 100 applicants were hired last month.

He said that while the event is also open to residents outside Talisay, those living within the city will be given priority.

This is because there is a city ordinance urging managements of newly-built establishments in Talisay City to hire 60 percent of their personnel from the city’s residents”, Jibales also said.

The construction of the retail store at the 5,500-square meter lot beside the Ayala District mall in Brgy. Matab-ang, Talisay City is ongoing after its groundbreaking in September last year.*APN
